Pocahontas and Flannel
I've been a little behind of my blog posts the last couple of weeks...we have had so much going on around here!! It's crazy how busy life can get in general, but with two little tiny humans, sometimes I need to stop and remind myself to just breathe. I think that's a Pearl Jam song actually...haha. I know everyone says this, but it is honestly SO crazy how fast it goes!! I can't believe my little guy will be one so soon. I honestly feel like I just had him!
With all that being said, I'm loving the fall trends this year. I can't get enough of the oversized vests and coats. I heart them! Especially layering them with some shorter pieces makes the whole look really come together. I loved this oversized trench vest. You could wear this with many different things, but I really am loving the look of the oversized vest or jacket and a shorter skirt or dress underneath! But the awesome thing about this vest is that it also looks amazing with jeans and some boots.
I also am wearing one of the most comfortable flannel shirts ever. It's so soft and cozy!! It would be perfect for apple picking or a trip to any fall activity! (Which the pumpkin patch and the apple picking are my favorite things to do this time of year! I have loved doing these things since I was young, but now with a family and little guys, it's so much fun again.) Flannel shirts are great. Plus I loved the color of this flannel. Grey can literally be paired with any single color. Plus yes flannel shirts are great low-key weekend go to, but try being adventurous and pair them with your favorite skirts for a different look!
I feel like I'm channelling my inner Pocahontas with this skirt. And loving every moment of it. (omg, seriously you know Pocahontas was out wearing some fringe short mini skirts) I'm loving Fringe at the moment, if you can't already tell...and thought this skirt was so much fun. I got this skirt at one of my favorite boutiques, bevello. I really love this store! The amazing thing is, I loved this store in Chicago then moved here, and they have a location down the street from me. I'm like okay this was meant to be. haha
I hope everyone has a great week!! It's FINALLY feeling like fall here, and I'm loving every moment of it!
